Harbormaster’s status will be determined next week

Interim Town Manager Larry Holmes said early next week, he will decide what Town Harbormaster Charles Famolare’s status will be.

Former Town Manager Rick White placed Famolare on paid administrative leave in December after a report alleged Famolare may have accepted free work from contractors employed by the town.

Holmes and an independent hearing officer conducted a hearing on the matter last week. Holmes is reviewing statements made at the hearing and will announce his decision on Monday or Tuesday.

  • Sounds just like the harbormasters doings in Rockland, Maine. Cronyism, theft, slander, deception, fraud and harrassment. Another area to completely avoid. Owls Head is just below the Rockland shoreline, no "recommendations" on how to spend your money and with whom in Owls Head harbor. Much much better unless of course you like to be insulted when Rocklands Harbormaster runs a background check on you and your credit rating takes a slight dip shortly after your trip to his office. Skip Rockland Harbor.
