Put it on your calendar – Don’t miss Sunday’s Pancake Breakfast

Sunday is Father’s Day and also the first day of summer, which makes it a doubly significant day. But in Winthrop, it is triply important, because it marks one of our community’s great traditions, dating back more than 40 years – the annual Father’s Day Pancake Breakfast hosted by the Winthrop High School football program.

Head coach Sean Driscoll is promising plenty of delicious pancakes (with maple syrup) and other breakfast treats at the fundraiser, which is an all-you-can-eat affair for just $6 per person.

The proceeds go to the Winthrop High football program, and the players and coaches are grateful to the many residents who have made the breakfast a family tradition for going on three generations.

The breakfast starts at 8 a.m. and continues until noon. We hope to see you there, bright and early. Raising funds by and for our high school athletic programs never has been more important than it is today. So join your friends and neighbors and please support our Viking football program.
