Arrest Report 10-27-09

MONDAY, OCTOBER 19

4:13 PM: A Shirley St. resident reported that the driver’s side mirrors of two of his MVs were torn off overnight.

5:00 PM: Two school age girls ran into the station to report they were being chased by older girls. Off. Bonavita mediated the situation.

10:11 PM: Officers arrested Stephen Zebal, 62, of 1018 Shirley St., on a charge of OUI.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20

9:57 AM: A report of a small black dog running loose in the area of Winthrop St. and Wadsworth Ave. was referred to the ACO.

10:45 AM: Off. Grimes stopped a MV on Highland Ave. and issued a citation to the operator for a CMVI.

11:03 AM: Off. Grimes stopped a MV at Cliff and Highland avenues. When the RMV computer revealed that the operator’s license was suspended, the officer issued a criminal citation to the operator for that offense. A licensed operator was allowed to drive the MV.

3:34 PM: Chief Delehanty stopped a MV on Washington Ave. and issued a citation to the operator for a CMVI.

8:56 PM: A Revere resident reported a B&E into his MV that had been parked in a driveway on Temple Ave. A Hasselblad camera was taken.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 21

7:47 AM: Officers responded to a report of a person sleeping in a MV on Trident Ave. The person in the MV did not provide proper identification, giving the officers two names. A female party came on the scene and when she was identified, the WMS reported that there was an active warrant for her arrest. When the officers still were unable to identify the male party who had been sleeping and were unable to ascertain the ownership of the MV, they ordered it towed. The male party then became disorderly. The officers arrested Elvin Aguilar, 19, of Springfield, Mass., on charges of unlicensed operation of a MV and disorderly conduct, and Criselda Contreras, 21, of Springfield, on an active warrant.

8:04 AM: A report of water bubbling up from a manhole cover was referred to the DPW.

9:03 AM: A clerk at the Quick Mart on Shirley St. reported that a customer was refusing to pay for an item. The officers who responded retrieved the item and issued a No Trespass order to the customer.

9:04 AM: A Hull resident reported a B&E into her MV that had been parked overnight in the 1000 block of Shirley St.

11:36 AM: Off. Donnellan issued a town citation to a trucker who was not following the truck route.

2:28 PM: Off. Grimes directed contractors working on Somerset Ave. to turn down their loud music.

3:54 PM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Veterans rd. and issued a citation to the operator for the CMVIs of speeding, failure to wear a seat belt, and not having her license in possession.

5:38 PM: Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between a mother and daughter. The officers resolved the situation.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22

8:40 AM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Veterans rd. and issued a citation to the operator for the CMVI of speeding.

9:27 AM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Plummer Ave. and issued a citation to the operator, a Revere resident, for the criminal charge of operating a MV with a revoked registration for insurance cancellation. The MV was ordered towed.

10:10 AM: A resident reported a minor MV on Underhill St. in which another MV backed up into her and then fled the scene. The operator of the MV who struck the other MV, a Lawrence resident, was mailed a citation for the CMVIs of operating in the wrong direction and failure to use care in backing and the criminal violation of leaving the scene of a MVA after causing property damage.

11:58 AM: A report of a raccoon stuck in a dumpster on Trident Ave. was referred to the ACO.

1:11 PM: Off. S. Hickey stopped a MV on Pleasant St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

1:25 PM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Veterans rd. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

2:29 PM: Off. S. Hickey dispersed a large group of youths from the area of the White Hen.

4:16 PM: The Drug Unit of Offs. Jaworski and Racow, Chief Delehanty, State Police, and Revere Police, arrested Dalvin Matos, 21, of East Boston, on charges of unlicensed operation of a MV, illegal possession of a Class A controlled narcotic substance with intent to distribute, and providing false identifying information to an officer.

4:47 PM: Off. S. Hickey stopped a MV on Washington Ave. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

5:52 PM: Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance between a father and son and restored the peace.

7:37 PM: Off. S. Hickey stopped a MV on Pleasant St. and issued a citation to the operator for the CMVI of speeding.

7:38 PM: A report of a water break on Cross St. near Miller Field was referred to the DPW.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23

12:00 AM: Off. Freeman stopped a MV on Revere St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

1:06 AM: Off. Freeman stopped a MV on Main St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

1:29 AM: An officer stopped a MV on Main St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

1:38 AM: Off. Freeman stopped a MV on Main St. and issued a citation to the operator for the CMVI of speeding.

1:59 AM: An officer stopped a MV on Main St. and issued a citation to the operator for the CMVI of speeding.

2:14 AM: An officer stopped a MV on Pleasant St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

8:33 AM: An officer working a construction detail on Pauline St. reported that a MV drove through the detour signs. A citation for a CMVI will be mailed to the operator.

1:28 PM: Off. Nestor stopped a MV on Cross St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of failing to stop for a stop sign.

2:24 PM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Tafts St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Nashua, N.H. resident, for the CMVI of failing to stop for a school bus.

3:27 PM: Off. Crisafi responded to a report of a group of girls harassing another girl on School St. The officer will seek further action.

3:29 PM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Tafts St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

4:19 PM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Shirley St. and issued a citation to the operator, a Lynn resident, for the CMVIs of speeding and failing to wear a seat belt.

4:35 PM: Off. Donnellan stopped a MV on Washington Ave. and issued a citation to the operator, a Winthrop resident, for the CMVI of speeding.

5:28 PM: A resident came to the station to report that her 16 year old son had been attacked by another 16 year old youth at the high school. Appropriate action will be taken through the school.

6:06 PM: Off. McCarthy stopped a MV on Shirley St. and issued a citation to the operator for a CMVI.

6:10 PM: Off. Nestor stopped a MV on Cliff Ave. and issued a citation to the operator, a Revere resident, for a CMVI.

9:11 PM: Officers dispersed a group of youths from the area of the high school.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24

6:37 AM: A caller reported that she had been rear ended at Dunkin’ Donuts by another MV which then fled the scene.

9:20 AM: A report from a Cross St. resident of no water in her home was referred to the DPW.

11:45 AM: A caller reported a broken window at her office building on Winthrop St.

12:27 PM: Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a MV on Revere St. The pedestrian was transported to the MGH. The operator of the MV was issued a citation for the CMVI of failure to yield for a pedestrian in a cross walk.

2:02 PM: A Nevada St. resident reported that her parked MV had been struck and damaged by a hit and run operator.

2:25 PM: A 209A order was received from the Lynn District Court to be served upon a local resident named as the defendant. However, the defendant’s brother said that the defendant is living in So. Boston.

3:53 PM: Off. Donnellan ordered a tow for a MV on Pleasant Park with a registration revoked for insurance cancellation.

6:15 PM: Officers responded to a report of a fight in the street on Hawthorne St. Officers will file applications for criminal complaints against the combatants.

9:48 PM: A caller reported that his MV was just struck by a hit and run operator on Wyman St.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25

12:23 AM: Off. Scorzella directed loud music and partygoers on a porch on Gov. Drive be taken inside for the evening.

11:00 AM: The operator of the hit and run MV from the previous evening, a Winthrop resident, came to the station to report the MVA. He said he fled the scene because he was nervous. He was informed that he was cited for the criminal offense of leaving the scene of a MVA.

11:19 AM: Off. Shea directed a Banks St. resident to turn down his loud music.

2:06 PM: A Hawthorn Ave. resident reported that her MV had been vandalized overnight. The windshield and the driver’s side passenger door were damaged.

6:04 PM: A report from a Sea View Ave. resident that her large, black, Greyhound dog was missing was referred to the ACO.

7:25 PM: A Sagamore Ave. resident reported that there was minor damage to the rear bumper of her MV and that a note had been left on her windshield.

10:42 PM: A caller reported that two persons with hoodies were checking MV doors on Marshall St. Officers arrested Robert Lopilato, 20, of 22 Sunset Road on a charge of B&E into a MV in the nighttime and Mark Leach, 19, of 409 Shirley St., on charges of B&E into a MV in the nighttime and receiving stolen property under $250.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 26

7:27 PM: A report of a dead cat on Pleasant St. near the Atlantis Marina condos was referred to the ACO.
