Jazz by the Sea on Sundays

Local musician Max Whiting, Bassist and Band Leader, will bring his duo, Musicmakers to Winthrop’s Rustic Table Restaurant on Shirley Street for Sunday Brunch.  The Brunch will feature Musicmakers cool, smooth, live jazz every Sunday from 11 a.m.  to 2 p.m.  You no longer must leave Winthrop to enjoy smooth jazz sounds.  Local music lovers will find a tasty brunch menu offered by Chef/Owner, Said.  Max brings years of musical experience to the Rustic Table performing throughout the Northeast, eastern Canada and Florida during his musical career.  Originally from Providence, Winthrop has been home since the mid 1990s.  He currently serves as Vice President and Music Director for the Rhode Island Rhythm & Blues Preservation Society, the music of his soul.  The organization was formed to ensure the continuation of R&B in the original musical tradition and offers musical instruments to RI school children in need.  He also performs locally and will be at Winthrop’s Ingleside Park on July 11, Revere Beach Sand Castle Festival on July 20 and Winthrop’s French Square in August.  Bob Ockenden, also of Winthrop, will accompany Max on guitar, performing creative smooth jazz melodies.  Bob, originally from Minnesota brings many years of musical experience to the local venue.  Other musicians will also be featured at Winthrop’s Rustic Table Sunday Jazz Brunch.  This is local venue and happening not to be missed.  For information please contact Max at 617-539-3951 or the Rustic Table Restaurant, 503 Shirley Street, 617-539-1600.
