McKenna Has The Right Approach On Miller Field

Town Manager James McKenna has devised the correct approach to the situation at Miller Field that, as described by School Committee Dawn Sullivan, is creating some doubt about the safety of the field for the upcoming fall sports season.

McKenna requested a study of the entire Miller Field complex be done to determine exactly what the town wants at the facility:  regular turf or artificial turf, an expanded track facility, fieldhouse, new lockerrooms, bleachers, concession stand, etc. One thing about James McKenna, he does his homework and charts the best and most economical route to the finish line.

The City of Revere is building a brand new football and track facility and we expect that one day in the not-too-distant future, you will see our Town Manager present a thoroughly researched proposal about how Miller Field can be transformed into something special — to complement the beautiful, state-of-the-art high school/middle school project — whose groundbreaking is set for June 24.
