Adopt a Hydrant

Fire Chief Paul Flanagan and the members of Winthrop Firefighters Local 1070 would like to equip each fire hydrant in the town with a hydrant marker. After last year’s recording setting winter, these markers will help residents and firefighters locate fire hydrants after snow events. These markers will save time and effort when it comes to shoveling out after significant snowfall. It is imperative to have all fire hydrants accessible in case of an emergency.
The cost to sponsor a fire hydrant is $20.
Checks can be made out to: WFD Hydrant Marker Fund
All donations can be mailed or dropped off to: 40 Pauline St, Winthrop, MA 02152. If you have any questions, please call Kelly at 617-539-1062.
