Monday, July 4

Caller reports possible unexploded fireworks floated up to the shoreline near the Landing. W93 dispatched to investigate and reports WFD recovered items from the water and will handle.

Party on Shirley Street requesting medical for her elderly mother who is not feeling well. Call transferred to WFD/EMS.

Store employee at Winthrop Marketplace called to report that a person outside the store is possibly suffering a heart attack and needs assistance. EMS/WFD notified.

Caller on Plummer Avenue requests medical assistance for her husband. Call transferred to EMS.

Boston 911 transfer reports a woman in a wheelchair on Shirley Street fell down and can not get up. Transferred to EMS.

Caller on Shore Drive reports that another dog has attacked her son’s dog. The dog has received two bite wounds with puncture marks. She request police to assist her in speaking with the owner of the attacking dog for information, as he will not submit to her. ACO on the scene along with W93 to assist. Officer spoke to all parties and ACO will handle and follow up.

CVS reports that a customer has fallen and they would like him checked out. WFD notified.

Male party reports two suspicious males on Deer Island digging and putting objects in their bags. Transferred to State Police.

Party on Underhill Street repots constant harassment. Detective spoke to the individual who wanted this documented.

Caller on Palmyra Street states that a uhaul truck has been parked for five days without moving. W91 will time and tag.

Party on Shirley Street states that her upstairs neighbor removed her belongings from the basement and now her landlord has called and yelled at her. When we explained that everything that she has told us is covered under civil law and without a court order it is not a police matter. She was told we would document it for her so if court action is the result, she could produce this journal entry.

Above caller states that her neighbor now came into her driveway and attempted to fight with her son. Units report a verbal dispute between neighbors, which has been ongoing and will require the intercession and wisdom of the EBDC.

Party on Otis Street reports that his vehicle was stolen out of his mother’s driveway. He states that while he was sleeping on the beach someone stole his keys and took the ignition key, and put the rest of the keys back in his pocket. He was advised to report to the station to fill out a stolen motor vehicle report.

Caller on Shirley Street (see above story) requests an officer in regards to the ongoing civil matters there. W91 reports speaking with the caller and explaining that all parties are being summoned to court and repeated responses to this address will result in a criminal complaint against the landlord.

Report of kids lighting fireworks off at 40 steps on Cliff Avenue and it has now become a nuisance. Several WMS checks, all negative. Fireworks confiscated and town citation issued for violation.

Report of fireworks being shot over house on Undine Avenue. Caller also says that she hears what she believes to be a fight breaking out. Units report the area is clear.

Report of fireworks going off along the beach at Shore Drive. MSP Revere notified and will respond.

Aux. Police request an officer for a female on Overlook Drive who is acting suspicious. Officers report subject will be staying at his mother’s apartment on Golden Drive. He was advised to stay in the apartment.

Tuesday, July 5

Party on Faun Bar Avenue called reporting a loud party. Officers report speaking with the homeowner and the party is now over.

Caller on Sea Foam Avenue reports male is sleeping in his driveway and he needs to go to work. Officer requested check on the subject and lo and behold, there are two outstanding warrants on the subject who was placed under arrest and removed to the station for booking.

Several calls reporting a motor vehicle crash at Bartlett and Pleasant Street. Units dispatched along with WFD. Both operators declined medical and one vehicle towed by G&J Towing.

Home Health worker requests medical for resident at Seal Harbor. WFD notified and responded.

Report of a large swan in the area of the Senior Center and posing a concern for the seniors at the facility. ACO responded and will handle.

Transportation Company called and stated that one of their passengers inside their van is not feeling well. They are on Sewall Avenue.

Caller on Locust Street reports a male dressed in black was just in her yard. He is now on Veterans Road walking in the direction of the beach. Officers report male subject sent out of the area.

Party on Tafts Avenue reports that his female friend is overdosing on drugs in his bathroom. Officers report one female going to Whidden.

Caller reports a person or persons unknown did damage to his boat while it was docked at Atlantis Marina.

Party at Governors Park reports someone vandalizing his property. Officer report it is actually a mother/son dispute and the son left. Mother was happy, and does not want to press charges.

Caller on Summit Avenue states that his girlfriend is “going nuts” and just cut her arms with a razor and is now out of control. He “just wants her gone.” Units and EMS responded. Officers report one female going to MGH for an evaluation. Also both parties advised of their 209A rights.

A person check needed for the steps of St. John’s the Evangelist Church for a male who appears delusional. Officer located the subject who is known to them. He has Alzheimer’s and the units returned him home to his wife.

Wednesday, July 6

Caller reports someone on the beach at Shore and Forrest Street may be in need of assistance. Unit dispatched and reports a local woman just laying on the beach relaxing and everything appears to be okay.

Caller on Overlook Drive reports that his elderly mother has been involved in a minor fender bump and request officer check on her, as the other party is upset.

Report of a “mange” dog running around with tags on it on the beach at Charles Street. Message left for ACO.

Nurse from Melrose Wakefield Hospital reports a male party from Shirley Street received 15 percent burns on his body and by law the nurse had to report it to the police. Male transferred to MGH.

WFD called to state that a vehicle is parked illegally on the corner of Hillside and Cottage Avenue. They cannot get by. Officer reports finding the owner and having her move the car. Officer also advised her the next time her car will be towed.

Male party on Wave Way Avenue reports that his girlfriend is not feeling well and needs an ambulance. EMS notified.

WFD request assistance for Action Ambulance with a psych patient on Winthrop Street. Officer reports a male subject transported to Whidden for an evaluation.

Walk-in to report that an older teen had “peeled” the chain link portion of the fence from the support bar at the basketball court and was sitting on it bending the fence and damaging it. Officer reports the fence is not damaged. Only two youths playing basketball and they saw no one doing anything to the fence.

Caller on Wheelock Street reports youths throwing rocks into his pool. Unit responded and reports speaking with the youths and the caller. The caller was satisfied and the subjects sent out of the area.

Party reports a man sleeping under the tree near the benches at Crest Avenue playground. Officers report subject was just resting. He was brought home by W92.

Caller states that he is trying to sleep and there is a group causing a disturbance in Hannaford Park, again. Units report clearing a group of five and peace was restored. Patrols of the park will be increased to insure that it is closed at dusk.

Thursday, July 7

Party came into the lobby of the station to say that his estranged wife’s sister told him that his estranged wife is going to harm herself. W91 and W92 responded to River Road to speak to the wife and make an assessment of the validity of the story and if the wife might need some assistance. Units report speaking with the wife who is lucid and alert and has no intentions of harming herself or anyone else. Reporting party was informed of the outcome and advised to seek legal advice from an attorney for his current domestic situation.

Report of a male party stumbling down Bellevue Avenue. Officer reports locating the male party on Bartlett Road and giving him a courtesy ride to his home.

Caller states observing same male party as previous call still wandering around. Officer located the same male party already brought home, in the same location. Officer brought the male party to his girlfriend’s home on Bellevue Avenue and she agreed to keep him inside. He was advised of the consequences of a third call.

Caller on Lincoln Street reports a resident has fallen and he needs an assist. Fire notified.

Party reports two males sitting in a car at Washington and Bates Avenue that appear to be out of place. She is concerned as they have been there for a while. Officers dispatched to check the area and report two individuals waiting for their boss who they are working with in the area and everything checked out by the officer.

Report of a woman who fell in the street on Sewall Avenue and is injured; requesting medical. WFD/EMS along with W93 dispatched. Female transported to MGH with facial injury, officer will submit a report.

Male reports there is a couple that appears to be sleeping in a white car on Veterans Road. W92 and W93 responded and report male was in town to visit his daughter and then was too tired to drive home. He will be on his way now.

Woman called to report that an older male is in the middle of Main Street near the hardware just standing there. W92 and the DO Detail report the area is clear. W92 checked the Delby’s area as well and no one is in the street there as well.

Party from Sea View Avenue came into the station to report that he is unable to get into his driveway reporting vehicle obstruction. W92 dispatched and reports parking ticket issued for curb violation.

W93 reports speaking with the owner of a trailer parked on Ocean View Street just down from Bowdoin Street and he will remove it ASAP.

Caller reports there is a person in the window of Antique Table and they may need assistance? Officer dispatched and reports the space is used for storage and the person in the window is a character prop used in the restaurant. They will move it from public view as to not cause any further concerns.

Party on Veterans Road reports that someone has attempted to use her information on three separate occasions in different states beginning in February. She will contact her bank as well as pursue the matter with her fraud protection agency for her credit cards.

Caller at the Arbors request medical for resident. Transferred to EMS/WFD.

Report of a baby swan all alone by itself near Lewis Lake. ACO notified.

U.S. Marshall called regarding fugitive from justice who may be in the area of Summit Avenue. A further check later revealed subject was in our town but left the area. Subject considered armed and dangerous.

Winthrop Market Place reports female party appears to be lying on the ground across the street from the market. W93 reports speaking with party who is voluntarily going to Whidden for further observation.

Party came into the station to report that his mother who lives on Otis Street no longer feels safe around her adult daughter because of a problem with 94C. Units report one female being transported to MGH via Action Ambulance.

Report of no water on Cottage Avenue. DPW notified.

Caller on Revere Street reports possibly drunk male lying on the steps. Second call from ACO reporting same. Units report party transported to Whidden for further evaluation.

Caller on Wave Way Avenue states that he has found his neighbor having a seizure on the floor.

Report of a large white pit bull running around Ingleside Park without a leash. W93 and ACO report speaking with the owner.

Call from Cataldo Ambulance to report a suicidal female on Bartlett Road. They will be faxing over a Section 12 form from North Suffolk Mental Health. WFD and Action Ambulance already notified and enroute. W93 reports party transported to MGH via Action.

Caller on Pauline Street reports that her neighbor has fallen off of a ladder and appears unconscious.

Party states that there is a group of kids playing basketball and hanging out at Coughlin Park. One of her neighbors went over to confront them about the noise and she thought a fight was going to break out. K9, MCI and W93 report area clear and no signs of a disturbance.

Miscommunication of the last call to this area. Caller states that the kids are in the basketball courts at Coughlin Playground and made threats to him when he asked them to quiet down. Units report sending the group out of the area.

A group back up at Hannaford Park causing a disturbance. W91 responded and reports no vehicles present, will walk around the area. A second call was received. W91 reports walking around the perimeter of the park and the rear of Seal Harbor and all is quiet and clear.

Caller from Ft. Heath Apartments states that she has an ongoing situation with the tenant below her. The caller went to bed and was awakened by the resident directly below her banging on the heating registers. Reporting party wanted this document as these events will be brought to the attention of building management and possibly result in court action.

Friday, July 8

Female on Ocean View Street called to report that someone there needs medical quickly. Officer reports 58-year-old male going to MGH.

Female walked into the station to report that a man has been lying in a car on Pauline Street and has not moved in an hour. Officer reports male was collecting cans.

Report of a loose pit bull in the area of Siren Street. ACO is responding to the area.

92 reports that there is a large deceased raccoon in the middle of Washington Avenue. ACO will respond to the area to extract the animal.

CVS pharmacist called to report that one of their customers is feeling weak and dizzy. Winthrop Fire and EMS notified.

Call of someone arguing in the parking lot on Crest Avenue. Officers report dispute over a handicapped parking spot.

Call of a 69 year old man that had fallen on Overlook Drive. Fire notified.

Bellingham Police called to ask if we could locate subject at Ft. Heath Apartments and have the subject call them in regards to an active 209A.

93 attempted to serve a restraining order for the third time to subject on Grovers Avenue. Service was again unsuccessful.

93 reports a mulch fire at Revere and Crest Avenue. WFD notified and fire extinguished.

Saturday, July 9

Residence on Myrtle Avenue is getting loud. W91 and K9 report party ending for the night. No music upon arrival and two parties are leaving the residence.

Female called to report loud party in the area of Shirley and Siren Street. Units report party breaking up.

Sergeant and officers will try to arrest subject on George Street on a warrant issued by Mass Parole Board. They report placing the subject under arrest.

Call from a male stating he is the son of party on George Street and she is in a white pickup and is unresponsive. EMS and officers report narcan was used and she went to the Whidden.

Call of a female driving back and forth in the Cumberland parking lot. Sergeant and officer report the lady was driving in and out of the area as she was looking for someone that is selling drugs.

Caller on Putnam Street called to say that three youths were attempting to drive their parent’s vehicle in the driveway. W92 arrived in the area and spoke with the young men who were sitting in the vehicle in the driveway. The officer spoke with the father of the youth who resides at the home. The father was at work at the time. The key for the vehicle was taken to the station for safekeeping and the father will come to the station to retrieve the key.

Report of a couple sleeping on the bench on Pond Street. The caller states they look homeless.

Party on Temple Avenue reports a man sitting in the back seat of his car vomiting. Units request fire. Units report one in custody for PC. W93 reports G&J removed the vehicle.

Sunday, July 10

Caller on Dolphin Avenue reports loud music from his neighbor causing a disturbance. Units 91 and 92 respond and report speaking to the subject, music will be turned off.

E911 call from Shirley Street from the Visiting Nurse to report patient is having hard time breathing and needs to go to the hospital.

Male caller reports the house at the bottom of Fairview Street has a crew working and it is Sunday. Officer reports he spoke to the work crew and they spoke to the boss. They will shut down for the day.

Call from Ft. Heath Apartments of a man on the floor unresponsive. EMS notified.

Caller on Thornton Park states that someone parked a trailer in front of her house on Thursday and she believes it is dangerously close to the fire hydrant. Officer reports it is near a hydrant. Upon speaking with party, they stated that the trailer belongs to a company that he works with. He is calling them to come and get it.

Todisco Towing driver came in with a towing slip for vehicle at Governors Park for being a trespass vehicle.

Caller on Enfield Road reports a neighbor is over his house and needs medical. Caller thinks he is on drugs. Transferred to EMS. Officer reports not an overdose.

Party reports two drunken men fighting in the street on Hadassah Way. He then hung up. Officers report one male ran from the scene as the officers were arriving. Second male denied fighting, just yelling.

Caller on Elmwood Avenue states a group appears to be fighting. Units respond and report the area clear upon arrival. Spoke to a female on scene that needs assistance locating a key. One subject was issued a town citation.

Report of a group being loud causing a disturbance at Massa Playground. Units 91 and 93 respond and report a group dispersed from the playground.
