Monday, December 19

Assisted WFD with smell of gas on Sagamore Avenue. Gas Company notified.

Party called reporting loud music a few streets away. The music stopped while she was on the phone with us. This is an ongoing issue every morning and she will call the next time she hears it so we can respond.

Motor vehicle blocking driveway on Main Street.

Walk-in from Fremont Street to report a past larceny of a former employee.

Party reports that her motor vehicle was struck while parked on Winthrop Street adjacent to The Methodist Church. Damage was done to the driver’s side mirror. Damage is to the frame/holder of the mirror as well as the mirror itself.

Caller at Cumberland Farms stated an item discovered on the ground. Unit stated the item was retrieved.

Caller on Bates Avenue states that father’s finance is highly intoxicated and is driving a vehicle. Announced BOLO to all surrounding towns.

Report of a dog barking on Main Street for hours in the back yard. Unit stated that nothing was showing.

A few Revere units reported a patch of ice on the corner of Winthrop Parkway and Crest Avenue. DPW notified.

Large group of people in front of Caggiano’s Funeral Home. Unit stated the party has left.

Tuesday, December 20

Party came to the station to speak with the Chief and to again report as well as to express her concern regarding the traffic issues in the Point. Party reports speeders as well as other traffic issues. This occurs mostly in the early morning hours and may be related to workers going to the island. Party also reports the school bus is driving erratically as well.

School employee walking to work found a handful of identification cards from a wallet. SRO Armistead will attempt to make contact with the owner.

Unwanted male party at Dunkin Donuts on Main Street. Small disagreement between two parties.

Party at Fort Heath Apartments called stating tenants from another apartment were harassing the manager for being evicted.

Report of a refrigerator left on the sidewalk on Loring Road with doors on it. The refrigerator has been moved since the call was received.

Walk-in from Enfield Road to report that while walking his dog he found a Christmas card with $185 in US currency inside. Unable to locate owner. Card and currency will be assigned property number.

Call from Boston with an open 911 line pinged off Governors Park. Several attempts have been made to call the number back with no success. Called Boston Regional twice and they have no further information at this time. PD was able to locate the phone number to Governors Park. Officers are relocating. Units have contacted calling party in apartment. Officer spoke to all parties who had a verbal argument. Parties are now all set. Male will be staying at his father’s house this evening.

Todisco Towing reports trespass two from Grovers Avenue.

Call received from Partners Health Care requesting a well being check for party on Veterans Road. Hospital has been trying to contact the party and are fearful that he may have fallen. Units are off. WFD and EMS also responded per protocol. Units made contact with the party in question and he is okay.

Calling party from Maple Road wants to report unauthorized entry into his residence. Spoke to the reporting party and apparently an ongoing issue. Checked the premises and nothing found. Report to be filed.

Party on Putnam Street reports that her wallet was stolen while she was picking up her children at the daycare. Unit spoke to the calling party. Units will be going back to the scene of the crime to view the security cameras.Calling party has contacted financial institutions to cancel the cards stolen.

Anonymous party on Temple Avenue reports a disabled motor vehicle blocking the street. 94 reports only “disabled vehicle is a cable van who has locked their keys in the vehicle. Vehicle is not obstructing the right of way. Traffic flowing freely.

Police had to meet security at 500 building in Governors Park regarding a disturbance called in by a tenant in another building. There was an argument, possibly mother/son. Unknown weapons. Units investigated and it turns out to be a noise complaint. Units advised party to eep the noise down. Peace restored and units cleared.

Motor vehicle stop on Crest Avenue. Vehicle will be parked near the owner’s address. Operator, unlicensed issued a citation and will be summoned for operating a vehicle without a license.

Suspicious activity on Main Street. Caller states he is the property manager and stated a female driving a white Jeep parked in an illegal spot and climbed over a secured fence behind Woodside Hardware. 92 reports that on Court Road lights are on but no one is answering the door. 91 an 94 checked the area and unable to find the party in question. Calling party did make himself known to he officers on the scene to point out where he saw the party in question scale the fence. The party may be at Loring and Court Road. Party alleges she was looking for her cat which hoped the fence at Main Street. Party in question was advised to retrieve her vehicle off of private property.

Wednesday, December 21

Cab fare discrepancy. Evasion passenger states that they were attempting to negotiate the fare. Driver now holding their luggage hostage in the cab on Shirley Street. Units report that the fare has been paid. Patrons’ belongings have been returned and peace restored. Services rendered, units cleared.

Calling party on Washington Street reports that while walking her dog she found a hypodermic needle on the lawn where it meets the sidewalk. 93 reports nothing found.

Parties came to the station to report an incident from last evening after another incident was reported to Boston PD. They report there was a carry over into town after.

Party came to the station to retrieve found money from one year ago.

93 reports a motor vehicle stop on Veterans Road. Officer reports citation issued.

911 transfer from Essex Regional Caller stated she needs police then promptly hung up. Units cleared from call they were on and responded. 93 reports this is for an unwanted guest. This was a verbal argument tween boyfriend and girlfriend. Boyfriend has left for the night. 93 reports advising the caller not to hang up on 911.

Thursday, December 22

Reporting party on Shore Drive states that his friend is drunk and he wants her out of apartment. She is hanging in the hall. Medical aid requested. Fire/ambulance on the scene. Located unwanted party and she was transported to the Whidden.

Party came to the station with a wallet found in Allston. Party has already been in touch with the owner who will come to Winthrop to retrieve the property. At the same time, the owner came in and he was reunited with his property and signed a receipt.

Party came to the station to report being involved in a motor vehicle accident in November at the intersection of Pleasant and Winthrop Streets. At this time this reporting party reports that he was rear ended while he was in his vehicle. He reports exchanging papers with the other operator. The following day the reporter states that he sought medical care for injuries incurred in the accident the previous afternoon. The party was advised to complete the proper reporting paperwork as required by the Commonwealth and the Town’s By-laws. Party reports because of his injuries he was not able to complete the process until now.

Follow-up investigation on Putnam Street. Unit stated that services were rendered. They are clear of this address.

Party stated icy street location Payson. DPW notified.

Well-being check on party’s husband on Lincoln Street to make sure he is okay. Tried calling him and has not been able to get in contact with him. Unit stated the husband is okay. He left his phone upstairs. He will call his wife.

Assisted fire on Wave Way Avenue.

Friday, December 23

Missing person came to the Winthrop Police to turn herself in. Arlington Police notified and they will contact her mother and the school she is missing from will send someone to pick her up. The youth counselor from the Youth Villages came and picked up the missing youth.

Assisted fire with drunk male on Coral Avenue. Voluntary transport to the Whidden.

Caller on Faun Bar Avenue reports a group of kids appear to be attempting to gain access to an enclosed portion of a house.

Caller on Shirley Street reports a brown Toyota pulled up, emptied trash into the street and possible 94C activity with a party from Shirley Street. The vehicle left the scene 20 minutes ago.

Oven/glass in the middle of the road near Quick Foodmart. Unit stated there is no oven. However, there is glass all over the road. DPW notified.

Owner of vehicle on Main Street has failed to properly register her vehicle in the Commonwealth after being given several opportunities to do so. The owner will be mailed a $500 citation for misrepresenting residence to avoid tax or reduce insurance premiums.

Unit stated a citation issued for parking in a handicap spot t Winthrop Marketplace.

Shirley Street caller at Cutler says a small white Chevy car on the corner needs to be tagged or towed. Before this call was made, unit was already on the scene tagging the vehicle. A citation was issued for parking violation.

Caller on Faun Bar Avenue stated that at the bottom of the hill, there is a red Corvette with broken windows. Unit found the vehicle and owner will clean the glass.

Two car motor vehicle accident on Pleasant Street. Two flatbeds needed. G&J notified. Medical enroute. Unit stated that both vehicles were towed. A citation was issued to white Kia for failure to stop.

 

Saturday, December 24

Caller on Cutler Street stated there is a party and it is loud. Unit stated the party was advised to stay in the house and to keep the noise down.

92 reports being off with a suspicious individual at Shore Drive and Sturgis Street. Unit stated the parents are picking up the youth and bringing him home.

Another call of loud party on Cutler Street. Unit stated one ale party is in custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Caller on Revere Street stated she heard gunshots in the conservation area. Units report being off in the area and hearing faint gunshots. Appears to be hunters i the marsh due to hunting season open .No other calls came in.

Claims of a tenant from Wave Way Avenue doing drugs in a car in the driveway. Units spoke to both parties.

Party stated a small dog is running around on Johnson Avenue. No collar. Searched around the area and nothing showing.

Party at Circuit and Waldemar Avenue called to state that it was hard for him to get through the street due to vehicles parked possibly illegal. Two vehicles being moved.

Party called and stated that a female party was waving to her daughter and bothering her today but that person is no longer on the scene. She will contact us back when she arrives back on the scene. This could be related to the incident 16-42065.

Caller from Winthrop Street reports that she herd screaming and yelling in the apartment below her. Thinks it could be a possible domestic. Misunderstanding between two brothers. The peace was restored.

Caller states that he was at Osaka Restaurant and saw three highly intoxicated people, two females and one male, get into what looked like a white Mitsubishi possibly a newer model. Caller stated that an older female with red hair was driving the vehicle. No other information given.

Caller on Nevada Street reports that the house next to hers is very loud like someone is speaking into a microphone. Peace was restored. Parties were told to lower the music and if the police have to come back, the party will be shut down.

 

Sunday, December 25

Caller on Otis Street states there is a party on the beach side. The group of kids have a fire lit on the  beach as well. Unit stated the group of kids were celebrating a birthday. They have since left.

Caller on Irwin Street states there was an unwanted guest in his house. Unit stated that the party has left.
