John Edward ‘Jay’ Tsiumis III

Never lost his spirit or sense of humor although ALS claimed his life

John Edward ‘Jay’ Tsiumis, III of Hebron passed away Wednesday at his home. He was 60 years old.

A ramp agent for Delta Airlines at CVG since 1978, he worked for Delta for nearly 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Flynn Tsiumis. Survivors include his wife,

Wendy Starr of Hebron; daughter, Paige Starr-Tsiumis of Arlington, VA; son, Alexander Wendall Tsiumis of Covington; his father, John E. Tsiumis of Florida; sister, Jan (Joe) Dantona of Nahant; brothers, Jeffery (Angela)

Tsiumis of Danvers, Joel (Allison) Tsiumis of Ashburn, VA and Joseph Tsiumis of Winthrop.

Although ALS claimed his life, Jay never lost his spirit or sense of humor.

Diane Melanson

Of New Hampshire, formerly of Winthrop

Diane Melanson of Strafford, New Hampshire passed away suddenly on April 28. She was 56 years old. Born in Winthrop on May 5, 1960, the daughter of Vincent Oliva, Jr. and the late Anna M. (McDonald), Diane was raised in Winthrop and attended St. John the Evangelist Grammar School. After moving to Beverly in the early 70’s, she went on to graduate from Beverly High School in 1978. She was employed in Massachusetts at Varian, Analogic, GE and Ametck. After moving to New Hampshire, she worked at Healthcare Administrative Partners in Portsmouth as an A/R representative.

She was the beloved wife of Paul Melanson and the dear sister of Marie Sacco of Danvers and Vincent Oliva, III and his wife, Mary Ann of Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Wednesday. Interment followed the service in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.

Katherine Meuse

Retired Print setter

Katherine A. (LeFave) Meuse of Winthrop passed away on April 19. She was 89 years old.

Prior to her retirement, Katherine was employed by Murray Printing as a print setter.

The beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Meuse, she was born in Wakefield, the cherished daughter of the late Louis and Lottie (Doucette) LeFave. Her siblings all predeceased her. She was the dear aunt of Karen Livangood and her husband, Howard of Groton and several other nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass was held in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop on Wednesday, May 3. Interment

followed in Forest Glade Cemetery-Wakefield.

Evelyn Keith

Of Winthrop

Evelyn M. (Rowe) Keith of Winthrop passed away on April 27 in Winthrop Place on Sturgis Street, Winthrop. She was 98 years old.

The beloved wife of the late Reginald A. Keith, she was born in Winthrop, the cherished daughter of the late George C. and Louise M. (Marion) Keith. She was the devoted mother of William R. Keith and Sandra L. Quintal, both of Winthrop; adored grandmother of Robert DiPierro and Tianna Russo; cherished sister of Paul Rowe of Maine and the late Charles and George Rowe, Edith Gallagher, Lucille Fannon, Dorothy Rowe, Virginia Christopher, Lillian Ellis and Louisa Howel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
