Yolanda ‘Yola’ Cinseruli

Former Boston school teachers aide

Yolanda “Yola” ( Minerva) Cinseruli of Winthrop, formerly of Orient Heights East Boston, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 21, at the age of 90.

Yolanda was a former teachers aide for the Boston Public Schools.

The beloved wife of the late Joseph “Joe” Cinseruli, she was the loving mother of Ellen Howe and her husband, Jeffrey of Winthrop, Debra Gavegnano and her husband, Joseph of Peabody and Joseph D. Cinseruli and his wife, Valerie of North Andover; cherished grandmother of Jessica Hautaniemi and her husband, Thomas, Lauren Chizauskas and her husband, Marc, David Gavegnano and his wife, Melissa, Michelle and George Gilpin and Nicholas and Isabella Cinseruli and great -grandmother  of Brady Gavegnano, Emma Gilpin, Benjamin Gavegnano, George Gilpin Jr. Mila Chizauskas and the late Rory Gavegnano. She was the dear sister of the late Angie Castriota, Ida Lauletta, Anna Crosby, Marie DiCino, Nicholas and Joseph Minerva, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, Revere.

Co-owner of the Paul W. Marks Company in Everett, member of many organizations and past Commodore of the Cottage Park Yacht Club

Philip W. Marks of Winthrop and Ossipee, NH passed away on September 26. He was 65 years old.

Co-owner of the Paul W. Marks Company in Everett, he was the Past Commodore of the Cottage Park Yacht Club-Winthrop, Life Member Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078, member of Club Motorsports, Board of Director for the Charley Davidson Leukemia Fund, the Matt Talbot Group and the Island End Industrial Park. He was also Life Member of the N.R.A., member of S.C.CA., the Kernwood Club, Winthrop Golf Club and the Heritage Oaks Country Club.

He was the beloved husband of Elaine K. (Murphy) Marks; devoted father of Paul W. Marks II and his wife, Kathryn and Brian W. Marks and his wife, Shawn, all of Winthrop; adored grandfather of Benjamin and Norah Marks and Ashton and Callen Marks. Born in Winthrop, the son of the late Paul W. and

Evelyn K. (Keenan) Marks, he was the dear brother of Paul W. Marks Jr. and his late wife, Carolyn of New Hampshire, Peter Marks and his wife, Joan of Winthrop and Patrick Marks and his wife, Nicole of North Carolina and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St, Winthrop, on Friday, September 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church on Saturday, September 30 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow the mass in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island,   One Bulfinch Place, Second Floor, Boston, MA, 02114.
