Pauline C. Cavaliere of Emerson Road, Winthrop passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 26. She was 86 years old. Born in Beverly, the beloved daughter of the late Ruth (Edwards) and Fredrick Kenney, she was a resident of Winthrop for over 55 years and a past president of the St. John the Evangelist School Mother’s Club.
She was the devoted wife of over 63 years to Francis R. Cavaliere, Sr. and the loving mother of Thomas Cavaliere and his wife, Mary of Winthrop, Anne Cavalieri of Tewksbury, Jodi Sampson and her husband, Mark of Middleton, Paula Cavalieri of Weymouth and the late Francis Cavaliere and his wife, Christine Cavaliere-Ogus of Winthrop; dear sister of Norma Edwards of Beverly, Donny Kenney of Vermont and the late Robert Kenney; cherished grandmother of Frankie, Nick, Samantha, Jordan, Kaitlin, Scott and Michael and great grandmother of Parker.

Romeo J. Rodrigues of Sunnyside Avenue, Winthrop, passed away at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home on Nov. 26. He was 88 years old.
Born in Boston, the beloved son of the late Antoinette and Antonio Rodrigues, he was a resident of Winthrop for over 51 years. He worked as a sales representative for New England Casket Company in East Boston and the Boston Burial Company and was also a member of the Portuguese Club.
He was the devoted husband of 67 years of marriage to Pauline (Screnci) and the loving father of Janet Rodrigues-Martino of Winthrop, Mark Rodrigues and his wife Dodie of Saugus, Joann Amatucci and her husband, Anthony of Winthrop and the late Paul Rodrigues and his wife, Judi of Stoughton; dear brother of Annette Petroccione of Peabody, Nancy Rosa of Danvers and the late Anthony “Broz” Rodrigues, August “Gus” Rodrigues and Charles “Chuckie” Rodrigues; loving cousin of Philomena Meads of East Boston; cherished grandfather of Michael, Jessica, Matthew, Lauren, Brittani, Kurt, Nicholas, Adam and Mark and great-grandfather of Sophia and Samantha. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Retired plumber, member of Winthrop Elks
Paul R. Reardon, Sr. of Grovers Avenue, Winthrop, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Nov. 24. He was 66 years old. Born in Boston, the beloved son of the late Tera (Johnson) and Joseph Reardon, he was a resident of Winthrop for over 42 years. He worked as a plumber for the Boston Ship Yard prior to his retirement. He was also a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks.
He was the devoted husband of the late Clorinda (Autilio) and the loving father of April King and her husband, Scott of Florida, Paul R. Reardon, Jr. and his wife, Danielle and David Reardon and his wife, Rachel, all of Winthrop; the dear brother of Edward Reardon of Arlington, Mary Delano of Wakefield, Barbara Reardon of New Bedford, Timothy Reardon and, Arlene Barry, both of Arizona, Katherine Reardon of Maryland, Michael Reardon of Melrose, Diane Saraceni of Malden and the late William Reardon, Tera Reardon and Eleanor Green and the cherished grandfather of Skylar, Matthew and Isabella.

Paul Harrison, Sr.
Of New Hampshire, formerly of Winthrop
Paul J. Harrison Sr., 60, of Derry, NH, died Sunday Nov. 26 in Concord City Hospital, Concord, N.H.
He was born in Winthrop on Oct. 25, 1957, a son of the late Fredrick and Barbara (Trevor) Harrison. Paul was a 1976 graduate of Winthrop High School.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Katherine Harrison; two sons, Christopher Shawn Harrison and Paul Joseph Harrison Jr. and his wife, Kerrin; granddaughter, Aria Elizabeth Anne Harrison; brother, Michael Harrison; two sisters, Nancy Pollard and her husband, Randy and Linda Harrison and her husband, Richard; sister-in-law, Donna Green and her husband, John Basile and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and an abundance of amazing friends. Paul was predeceased by his brother, John Harrison.

Darlene A. Corolla of Winthrop passed away surrounded by her loving family on Nov. 23 at the age of 58.
The cherished daughter of Robert Corolla and the late Helga (Pfeiffer) Corbosiero, she was the mother of Michael Tanuis of Winthrop, dear friend of John Di Lorenzo of East Boston, loving sister of Cindy Rossino and her husband, Lou of Lynn, Donna Marks of N.H., Paul Corbosiero of Revere, Robert Corolla Jr. and his wife, Karen, John Corbosiero, Christine Gillis and her husband, Jim and Elke DeBonis and her husband, Michael, all of Winthrop and the late Ron Corolla and adored grandmother of Alexis Marie Tanuis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Gaughan
Of Maryland, formerly of Winthrop
Elizabeth M. “Betty†(Cherry) Gaughan of Chester, Maryland, formerly of Winthrop, passed away after a long illness on Nov. 20. She was 70 years old.
Betty attended Boston schools and worked for many years in the retail industry. She was a former member of the Winthrop Emblem Club and Color Guard. Betty will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
The loving mother of Richard G. Gaughan, Jr. and his wife, Jeannette of Braintree, she was the dear “Granny†to Cameron and Rylan. Born in Boston, Betty was the daughter of the late Michael J. Cherry and the late Rita Salisbury, the wife (separated) of the late Richard Gaughan; devoted sister of the late Debbie Weber of Maryland and adored aunt of Eric and Matthew. She is also survived by Don and Michael Cherry of Boston.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. in St. Clare Church, 1244 Liberty St., Braintree. Burial will be private. John ‘Ted’ Larson
Retired vacuum-industry engineer
John “Ted†Larson of Tileston Road. Winthrop passed away at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere on Nov. 19. He was 83 years old.
Born in Dorchester, he son of the late Laimi (Kuoppala) and John Larsen, he enlisted in the United States Marines at an early age, reaching the rank of private first class. After his honorable discharge, he went on to work as an engineer in the vacuum industry. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was the devoted husband of Frances (Marino) and the loving father of Lynne Evans of New Hampshire, John Larson of Dubai, Lauren Diehl of California and Darrin Larson of Winthrop. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
The funeral was conducted from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Wednesday, November 22 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Winthrop. Rev. Peter Graziano celebrated the mass and offered prayers at the interment in the Cross Street section of Winthrop Cemetery.

David ‘OB’ O’Brien III
Roche Diagnostics employee and Cottage Park Yacht Club member
David L. “OB†O’Brien III of Winthrop passed away suddenly on Nov. 26. He was 48 years old.
David was employed by Roche Diagnostics based in Indianapolis, Ind. He was a member of the Cottage Park Yacht Club in Winthrop. He had a passion for boating and sailing and enjoyed spending time at Yirrell Beach in Winthrop. He was a loyal fan of both the Patriots and the Bruins. David was a sports-car enthusiast and enjoyed owning and driving his Ford Mustang. But, most importantly, he loved being around his family and friends.
He was the cherished son of David L. and Paulette A. (Sirois) O’Brien Jr. of Winthrop; dear brother of Christopher J. O’Brien and his wife, Kristen of Reading, Matthew P. O’Brien and his wife, Lisa of Topsfield, Paul M. O’Brien and his wife, Elizabeth of Winthrop, Meghan E. Verdaguer and her husband, Alejandro of Reading and Mark A. O’Brien of Winthrop and the beloved uncle of 10 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St., Winthrop, on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m.. Jerome Edward DiStefano
Loved his family, to laugh, to paint, and loved Winthrop
Jerome Edward DiStefano of Winthrop died peacefully at home on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
Born in Boston, he was one of four children born to the late Joseph and Virginia DiStefano. He was a graduate of Winthrop High School, Class of 1958. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Air Force shortly thereafter where he specialized in engineering and electronics. He spent many years in field service positions until his retirement in 2001.
Jerry loved growing up in Winthrop and had many fond memories of the friendships he forged during his years by the sea wall, and with his siblings, Ann, Mary, and Bob. In high school, he was active in both athletics and theater. After school, his time was spent in the service, and some European travel, then he met his wife, Donna. They settled in Townsend in 1980 and spent three happy decades there with their three children Lisa, Jeremy, and Joseph. During these years, Jerry could be found working on projects outdoors, taking his kids to Little League games, and explaining to anyone who would listen why he “had a feeling†about the Red Sox or Patriots this season.
Jerry loved to make people laugh, often using his humor and self-deprecating style to spice up any mundane moment. Later in life, Jerry taught himself to paint, and in typical fashion, became completely consumed.
When Jerry and Donna moved back to Winthrop in 2011, his oil paintings were the perfect way to connect back to the fond memories he had growing up in Winthrop, retelling stories through the canvas. The only thing that he was more passionate about than painting was his family and spending time with his five grandchildren. He was “Nano†to: Hannah, William, Ryan, Nina, and Will.
In addition to his wife Donna and their three children and spouses, Lisa and Anthony Depew of Ashburn, Va., Jeremy DiStefano of Hamilton and Joseph DiStefano of Boston, he leaves behind three siblings and their spouses, Ann and Frank Ferrara of Winthrop, Mary DeVito and the late, Robert DeVito of Canoga Park, Calif. and Robert and Barbara DiStefano of Bonita Springs, Fla., many nieces, nephews, cousins, and, of course, his five grandchildren that he loved so dearly.
The funeral was conducted from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Saturday, Nov. 18 followed by a Funeral Mass in the Holy Rosary Church, Point Shirley, Winthrop. Committal was private.

Elizabeth B. Limone of Melrose, formerly of Winthrop, passed away at the Oosterman’s Rest Home in Melrose on Nov. 20. She was 89 years old. Born in Scituate, the beloved daughter of the late Theresa (Poli) and Louis Belli, she was the devoted wife of the late Louis J. Limone and the loving mother of Stephen C. Limone and his wife, Vi and Pamela S. McGrath and her husband, Robert, all of Melrose, Douglas J. Limone and his wife, Brenda of Topsfield, Jeffrey L. Limone and his wife, Heidi of Boxford and Eugene J. Limone and his wife, Kathryn of Gloucester; dear sister of the late Louis Belli, Thelma Godfrey and Eugene Belli. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
