Monday, April 23

Street sweeping is going on in the town and party has a parking complaint for vehicle on Perkins Avenue. Decal expiration so the vehicle was towed by G&J.

Party on Tafts Avenue reports that her motor vehicle was hit near Yirrell Beach. She followed the vehicle to Deer Island and exchanged paperwork, but reports she may be under the influence. State was called to respond.

Unit found party that was driving erraticly on Birch Road. Party was not in the vehicle but will check on her wellbeing. Spoke to party and no medical required.

Caller on River Road reports a missing package from Amazon that was left on his front porch.

Party stated a tractor trailer truck cannot make a turn on Woodside Avenue causing traffic as vehicles cannot get by. Officer reports the truck was able to get out of the area, he was just taking his time as to not hit any overhanging wires.

Report that in the garage on Pond Street, there are two vehicles with a group of male parties playing loud music and yelling and causing a disturbance. Individuals were advised that it is private property and they have been trespassed from the area.

 

Tuesday, April 24

Caller on Main Street stated that someone broke through the window. It is unknown how, but they are now inside the house. Unit drove the female party and her boyfriend back to their residence. No charges were filed and owner will take care of the broken window. Peace was restored.

Party on Summit Avenue states there is street sweeping today and there are cars parked up and down the street. Unit out of the area and was advised of the complaint.

Individual came in to report losing her Moroccan identification card (similar in appearance to U.S. driver’s license). If found, please contact her English-speaking friend.

Caller on Moore Street states that her mother has been making statements. She was last seen in the beach area. her daughter approached a state trooper doing a detail and the trooper will meet officers at her home. Female party will be walking home soon. Party requested medical and is going to the Whidden.

Section 35 party from Governors Park willing to turn himself in. He was taken to court.

Party at Brookfield and Palmyra Street states a female is climbing a tree and was also seen urinating. Units off with involved party. Officers spoke to the subject and party denied any knowledge or involvement of what the units were called there for. Units cleared.

Report of an argument between landlord and tenant on Vine Avenue. No weapons. Units spoke to both parties and advised them that it was a civil matter. Peace was restored.

Party on Charles Street states that he feels threatened by a neighbor. No weapons. Units spoke to the reporting party. The son of the reporting party arrived on the scene to take control of the situation. Neighbor and party usually get along. If needed to come back involuntary 123 Section 12.

Station got a call from S.P. South Boston. They have a Winthrop resident under arrest on gun charges stemming from a road rage incident. The resident has a license to carry issued out of our town. They request we revoke his license and attempt to confiscate any remaining firearms registered to him. Licensing Officer called in to do an immediate revocation of the license. W93 responded to subject’s home to attempt to take a recovery of remaining weapons.

Officer responding to address on Dolphin Avenue to attempt to retrieve a handgun. Units clearing. Party at the location will contact the involved party to see if they can locate the item.

Caller on Shirley Street states a male party is yelling at people going by. He is sitting on the steps to High Tide. Party voluntarily transported to the Whidden.

 

Wednesday, April 25

Caller on Revere Street states a motor vehicle struck a pole in front of Family Pastry and took off toward the Highlands. No plate given. State Police and Revere Police has this vehicle pulled over on North Shore Road. 93 is on his way. Notified DPW about the light pole. Vehicle #1 was involved in another hit and run with vehicle #2 at Revere Street in Winthrop as well. It was then pulled over in Revere by State Police. Revere Police took the individual into custody and a report is going to follow. Clear, heading back to Winthrop.

Caller reports she was involved in a road rage incident at the intersection of Shirley Street and Veterans Road. The male operator followed her to Shirley Hardware where he followed her into the store and verbally confronted her and called her names in front of the employees there. Caller is concerned because he took pictures of her car. She did manage to get the plate number and the vehicle comes out of address on Neptune Avenue.Officers spoke to the male party. they are also on their way to speak to the female party that was also involved. Units spoke to the female party. No crimes were committed, but she was advised if anything like that happens to call police.

Caller on Putnam Place reports that two vehicles are parked facing the wrong direction. One parking violation issued.

Party on Crest Avenue states a truck drove by and hit his vehicle. It took his mirror off.94 is off on Shore Drive with the truck that hit the caller’s vehicle. He was able to get both parties together and papers were exchanged.

Female walked into the station to report that her father-in-law is missing. Last seen March 27 at their house.

Noise disturbance called in by resident of Governors Park. Parties were advised of their rights. Parties have a court date scheduled. Report will be forwarded to the Board of Health for possible violations in one of the involved apartments.

Caller at Governor Park reports that the neighbor is banging on her ceiling again. Units spoke to both parties. The reporting party was advised that the noise is coming from the people upstairs walking around. Unfortunately, this is a downfall to condo living. All parties were advised and peace was restored. Report to follow and also the Board of Health will also be contacted.

 

Thursday, April 26

Caller on Bartlett Road states two motor vehicles with N.H. plates on street preventing the street sweeper to clean in front of her home. K9 dispatched who stated that both cars have been ticketed.

Disabled motor vehicle pulled to side of road, near Belle Isle Bridge. 91 reports the man flagged him down. The incident is on the East Boston side. Control is contacting A7. We informed them that a tow is needed as the car is leaking fluid. They said they would take care of it. 91 standing by with party until Boston arrives. 94 reports A7 has arrived and Metro truck has the vehicle.

93 reports he was flagged down by a citizen on Franklin Avenue stating a car was keyed on both sides. No status found on driver’s license.

Per Charlie 1, 93 responded to Sunnyside Avenue because party reports someone has stolen one of his checks.

Officer will try to serve summons from Lynn District Court to subject on Hale Avenue.

91 attempting to serve summons to subject on Hale Avenue. Reports he was unable to serve paperwork. He left message with individual to have party pick up the paperwork at the station when able.

Report of male screaming in the street with a baseball bat at Circuit and Birch Road. He seems aggressive. 91 spoke to the party who stated he was having a disagreement over the phone. He was advised.

Caller on Golden Drive reports that someone damaged her car with a key along the back of the trunk.

A person walked in to turn in items from his LTC surrender order.

Caller reports she saw a coyote at the Point. ACO state himself and 976 have investigated and only see several people walking their dogs. They will remain on scene for further investigating as the caller was vague in the exact location.

ACO states the coyote from the previous call is now at Cross and River Road according to a party from the golf course. Coyote is near the tennis court. 91 and 94 responding with ACO. Delta 6 reports she notified the staff at Miller Field and the baseball field. They are closing the gate at Miller Field. ACO reports unable to locate the coyote but will stay in the area to insure that the animal does not go into Miller Field.

Caller on Prospect Avenue reporting a hit and run to her vehicle. She stated that there is a lot of damage. 93 reports the incident happened between 1700 hours and the time she called it in. No information, description of the vehicle that struck her.

Party would like a wellbeing check on his mother on Putnam Street. Spoke to her on the phone and she sounded lethargic. Patient transported to the Tufts Medical Center. Attempted to reach out to the son who did not pick up the phone.

 

Friday, April 27

Small red car was spotted driving into another vehicle. Caller also reports the driver of the small red car had left and walked away from the vehicle towards the beach. The vehicle that caused the crash has been towed by G&J. the other vehicles are on the side of the road. They are not a hazard.

Assisted a motorist on Revere Street. The driver’s car died in the middle of the road. He was able to push it off to the side and call Triple A. He will stay with the vehicle and wait. Triple A came and took the vehicle.

Assisted another motorist on Woodside Avenue with a vehicle. Unable to get the vehicle started. He was given a courtesy ride to Viking Gardens.

Female caller on Shore Drive reports being harassed by the manager of her apartment building.

Another attempt to serve summons to subject on Hale Avenue. Unable to serve, left another message with individual’s father to come to the station to pick up the summons.

Caller on Main Street states he is having issues with the neighbors as his parking lot is small and some of his employees are parking on the street. One of the employee’s tires were slashed two days ago. One had a screw in her tire and now there are nails in the lot. Officer is going to knock on some neighbor’s doors on Bowdoin Street and advise they do not own public street parking spots and advise to stop throwing screws in to the caller’s parking lot. If they have an issue, call the police. No damage to anyone’s car and spoke to about four-five neighbors.

Party came to the station to report being a victim of fraud. He would like people to be aware that a Google search under Facebook Security and Service Department. is not associated with Facebook and this is where the fraud occurred.

A resident of the town came to the station to report a traffic concern int he area. The resident has almost been involved in an accident as well as witnessed numerous motor vehicle infractions in the area of Beach Road and Locust Street. Motor vehicles are going on the wrong side of the island to enter Beach Road at Locust. Units have been made aware of the situation.

Party came to the station and was served in hand by officer for summons out of Lynn District Court.

Party came out of a friend’s house on Shirley Street and noticed that her car was hit. The party will be going through her insurance.

Caller on Shore Drive reports that someone is throwing all her stuff out of her home. Caller is not home. She also said that she received a text from the involved party with picture of her things in bags.  Units report there are no females present. A male and his son reside  and state no females were there and no property has been stolen/damaged. Spoke to the reporting party and advised her to go there and insure that her property was in fact stolen and if so to call us back and we will go and take a report.

 

Saturday, April 28

Party on Waldemar Avenue states that a small tan/brown dog is wandering on her street. Party does not recognize him as a dog that lives on the street. He also states that the dog is friendly. Dog was picked up and returned to his owner.

Assisted party to retrieve property on Bellevue Avenue.

Employee reports larceny from Twins Bakery. Unfounded, parties reported they did not call the police.

Attempt to serve summons to subject on Shirley street. Party was not home. Family member will have party come to the station when she gets home from work to retrieve paperwork.

Party came to the station, along with a daughter and another, to report that her motor vehicle was stolen. This is the motor vehicle involved in a previous incident. Party was advised that her brother was already in last night and told a different story and admitted that he was driving the car. Party was advised about filing a false police report. Parties left the station and left the name of the son who had the car who had come in last night and told a different story. A few minutes later,the male came in but would not ID himself. Party was sent out of the station. The mother had previously ID’d the male and it is the same party whose identification was found in the motor vehicle after the accident and he fits the description of the party seen walking away from the accident according to the report.

Motor vehicle blocking the intersection on Shirley Street. Officer was able to find the owner and had them move their vehicle.

Report of a motor vehicle blocking a driveway on Bartlett Parkway. Owner was found and moved the vehicle.

Party from Shirley Street came into the lobby to pick up her summons from Lynn Court. It was served in hand.

Party stated that he was threatened by two people in a red Ford Explorer on Veterans Road. He wants to speak with an officer regarding this matter. It was also noted that the calling party was also an officer.

One car motor vehicle accident on Main Street. Giving female a courtesy ride. She was dropped off at her residence on Beacon Street.

Caller on Revere Street states a massage parlor ran his credit card without permission. There was a misunderstanding on a charge going through. Owner of the store agreed to make it whole next week. An error in the system that had it that the owner was unable to refund the charge. Parties came into the station from the establishment with the reference number which will used to reimburse the customer in three to five business days.

Called in by Boston, who stated there was a past domestic in Boston Haymarket area between a male and female inside a vehicle. Boston asked us to a well being check on the female party. They stated that the vehicle comes out of Winthrop. Unit checked the property at Governors Park and states that his mother will be home shortly. Everything checks out at this address. Boston PD was notified.

 

Sunday, April 29

Party came to the station to drop off a set of house keys in accordance with the orders set forth.

Party came into the station to report a possible civil rights/hate crime violation.

Attempting to find owner of dog that was running lose on Siren Street. Officer spoke with the owner of the dog who is now tied up in the backyard.

Probation faxed over an active probation warrant for individual on Cutler Street for alleged probation violations.

Report of wires and pole down on Veterans Road. Police and fire will be dispatched. Units blocking traffic at Veterans Road and Hadassah and also Veterans and Shirley Street. White SUV with front end damage took a right from Veterans Road onto Shirley Street. It is being looked at in connection to this incident. National Grid also on the scene. Units clear, unable to locate the vehicle.
