Monday, April 30

Caller on Washington Avenue states that his lawn mower was stolen from his from yard. Lawn mower was outside with sign and must have been taken around 7 a.m.

Motor vehicle accident on Revere Street. Vehicle hit a fire hydrant. Truck backed into temporary feed that was being used for construction. No accident to report.

Party on Bartlett Road states there is a motor vehicle that is parked across the street from his house that was running for a couple of hours with no one inside. Vehicle is not running, but appears to be warm.

Assisted other agency by going by and see if vehicle is in Governors Park possibly used in a breaking and entering. No signs of the vehicle i the area. Will keep an eye out.

Burlington PD would like a unit go by to Court Road and see if involved party is there. Subject was involved in a hit and run in Burlington. Unit knocked on the door of residence with no answer. Neigh or came out and spoke to the officer. The involved party moved out of town. Neighbor gave the information for the involved party’s new address. New party information relayed to Burlington PD.

In the vicinity of Crest Avenue, female states there is a male party taking a video of her. Units spoke to the subject. It is a civil matter, and the caller was advised that the male party was in his rights to take a video as they were in a public area and not secretly videotaping. Female party was advised of her rights.

Caller states that he has not heard from his sister on Sagamore Avenue for a couple of hours, and it is not like her not to respond back to texts. He would like an officer to go by and see if her car is in the driveway. Units rang the bell several times at the address with no answer. There is no lights at the home. The vehicle is currently parked in the driveway. There is no signs that there is no activity with going and out of the address. A neighbor stated that the roommate’s dog was let out around 5:30 a.m.

911 hangup with female crying, then hanging up. No answer on call back. Subscriber information came back to a party on Pleasant Street. Unit found the caller and she had had a fight with her boyfriend and wanted him to leave. When the boyfriend realized that she was calling the cops, he left.

 

Tuesday, May 1

Caller on Banks Street reports that someone, over time, is breaking into his house and stealing things from his basement. Unit report they spoke to the caller, and he was unaware of some home improvements that were being done in the house.

Fax came in to repo a motor vehicle on Pebble Avenue.

DPW located a number of hypodermic needles in the middle cemetery. Syringes were retrieved.

Party came in to report suspected vandalism to her motor vehicle.

Assisted citizen to retrieve belongings from house on Read Street. party retrieved his belongings, and is on his way out of town.

Party on Somerset Avenue reports they just bought a house and found a firearm int he closet. 93 reports it is a pellet gun.

Caller on South Main Street states there are two huge holes in the street. She called DPW earlier, and they were supposed to send someone down to fill them and never did. Unit was sent down to check out the severity of it. Road is currently under construction. Crew will be back tomorrow to fix the road.

Unit attempted to serve warrant to female subject on River Road. Were unable to serve the warrant as female subject was not there.

Trespass tow for vehicle at Governors Park.

Subject on Irwin Street works for the federal government and has a government vehicle. She states that she was parking and a female started yelling profanities at her. She ignored her and went into her building then went back outside to move the vehicle. The woman outside was now yelling the license plate number repeatedly. She wanted this logged in case there are future problems.

Caller on Shore Drive states there is two males in a brown pickup truck that went into a house and are possibly stealing things. Units on scene stating nothing showing. No one on the scene. 91 is insuring all the doors are locked and secured and the K9 is sweeping the are. Units state everything is secure. Units will be notified if the parties return.

Party on Sunset Road reporting an unwanted boyfriend. She wants him to leave the home. No weapons. Verbal argument between boyfriend and girlfriend. All parties involved of their rights. Boyfriend left for the night.

Caller on Shirley Street states that there is an Asian male causing a disturbance. One male party sent on his way for the night.

 

Wednesday, May 2

Public Works employee calling to state a needle in the cemetery near the tomb in the middle section. Syringe was retrieved.

Another call from Public Works employee stating two needles on ground near old building for the cemetery, behind the tomb.

Report of lost black lab. Caller has to go to Gorman School to register his daughter. Reporting party took the dog inside the school, and will hold the dog or take it home if needed. S4 resounding to Town Hall trying to retrieve owner information. S4 took the dog back to the owner.

Sergeant reported that while turning right from Pauline Street onto the ramp leading to the municipal lot at the rear of the police station, a Toyota attempted to enter the traffic lane and crashed into her front right passenger door. The sergeant will follow up.

Caller on Cutler Street states that a Shepherd is locked in a silver vehicle and is panting. The caller states that he has been on the scene for over 15 minutes. No one has returned to the car. The dog is friendly. Owner came out and has been reunited with the dog. 91 had to call ACO down to her location.

Elderly female with possible altered mental status. Health care worker asked if we would do a well-being check on the female on Woodside Avenue. She stated she was acting abnormal with the visiting nurse. Units had to Section the party. Fire and police managed to come together to help her get transported to the hospital.

Caller on Beal Street reports a loud party in the park. States that music has been extremely loud since 3 p.m. The music was turned down in the backyard, and they were told to keep it down.

Party on Sunset Road states that her grandfather has a no-trespassing order, and is now in the home intoxicated. This is the second time responding to this home for the same reason. The no-trespassing order is expired but the grandmother would like him to leave the home. One male coming in for trespassing and disturbing the peace.

 

Thursday, May 3

Suspicious activity reported on Shirley Street. Male yelling at cars as they go by. Units searched the area, and no male matching the description provided by the caller.

Units off with male matching description from earlier all at Shore Drive and Charles Street. Officers spoke with the male and sent him to his home nearby. Peace was restored.

A well-being check on male sleeping on the rocks at the end of Beacon Street. Male party is perfectly okay, just enjoying the view.

Vandalism to the greens at the golf course. Damage to putting green. Looks like it was carved up with a knife.

Party from Summit Avenue came to the station to report having a verbal argument with a neighbor earlier this morning. The above was arguing over the neighbor’s dog being on his property. During the argument, the neighbors stated, “I know a lot of people in the town, and I can make your life miserable.” ACO has been notified and will investigate the matter.

Well-being check on male party on Revere Street called in by A1. Male party is okay. 91 asked a few questions and all checks out.

Follow-up on animal complaint from earlier complaint on Summit Avenue.

Walk-in to report a male yelling at people walking down Fremont Street.

Restaurant worker on Crest Avenue reports a female walked in out of breath stating that someone was chasing her. Subject was located and has been sectioned to the MGH. Update: Well-being check is being done by Burlington Police at the resident where the rest of the children are. There is a babysitter at the home at this time. Well-being check requested per Winthrop Police.

Report that a vehicle and some individuals in the carport on Pond Street. Caller finds this suspicious.

Caller on Shirley Street reports that there is a male standing by his vehicle eating strange. Medical aid requested. WFD and EMS responded. Medical evaluated the party and he refused transport. Officers report the male is tired and falling asleep. The vehicle was legally parked and the male party is having someone pick him up and take him home for the evening.

Caller on Sunset Road reports that their grandfather is not allowed in the home and is there now. Units report the male was just there to retrieve some personal identification. He is no longer on the scene and advised not to return. Caller was also advised of her 209A rights.

 

Friday, May 4

Caller states there is a man using a leaf blower at Bank of America. Second party states he is at the La Siesta Restaurant. Caller now states that the male has left the area. S6 reports the DPW is out conducting a cleanup of the center area.

Party on Highland Avenue states she hears two ales fighting outside. She also hears yelling. Nothing showing upon unit’s arrival. Units report a taxi was leaving as they arrived. Unknown if the involved parties were in there.

Party called upset regarding the noise being made in the center of town by the DPW workers. There was another party in the background of the call who was also upset. The caller stated that it had been going on for over an hour and stated that her children had been awakened by the noise. The caller was informed that the DPW  assistant has been contacted and we had been informed that they had planned this work and that it would be continuing until 5 a.m. A call was made to the DC who stated that he was unaware of the scheduled work but he could not stop them. Caller stated that she would be calling the media/Channel 5. Party was advised to call those in charge.

Boston PD asked for a notification of party that lives on Townsend Street. Unable to locate the subject.

Caller wanted to report the continuous problem of stop sign violations occurring at the intersection of Hermon and Pauline Streets. Units have been advised and there will be specific actions put in place in the weeks to follow in order to attempt to rectify the situation.

Party on Tileston Road states that she can hear some type of animal crying out in pain. 93 en route with ACO. ACO reports a dog on the second floor and does not appear to be in distress. Also made contact with the dog’s owner. The dog is fine.

93 requesting check on vehicle on Shirley Street. Revoked insurance. 93 requesting G&J for a tow. 93 reports to cancel G&J as the vehicle is going into the body shop next door. Plate will be put on it and removed off the street. 93 will secure the plate.

Caller on Golden Drive is an elderly woman stating that her purse is missing from her house. Could be possible altered mental. 91 spoke to the caller and reported that she seems okay. Woman keeps finding items from her purse around the house. 91 is going to check back in with her later to check her status.

Party on Putnam Street states he informed a male in his vehicle that he was parked illegally. Male in the car then threatened him and told the caller that he should mind his own business. Caller feels threatened and wants police presence. 94 spoke to the party in the vehicle and the vehicle was parked slightly on the crosswalk and 94 told him to move.

91 checking in with individual on Golden Drive from well being check in the previous call. 91 spoke to the subject and the situation was resolved.

Caller states youths playing loud music while in the basketball court on Walden Street. Unit spoke with the group and they are clearing the area.

Female caller on Sunset Road was being vague on the phone. Female transported to the Whidden.

 

Saturday, May 5

Party came in to report ongoing harassment and threats. Party will seek an order on Monday.

Officer dispatched to Faun Bar Avenue and Crystal Cove Avenue. Report of a vehicle into a pole. G&J notified. One party to MGH. Damage to telephone pole 360. G&J has the vehicle.

Caller on Grovers Avenue stated that he heard one gun shot fired around the Highlands area. Unit checked the area and found a suspicious vehicle with doors open. Units found nothing else showing. Reporting party is a reliable source. Unable to locate the owner of the vehicle. Units remaining in the area and did a secondary search of the area with nothing showing.

Party reporting he is being accused of hitting a motor vehicle when he didn’t. He is painting a house on Floyd Street.

93 reports both parties claiming different stories. Minimal damage to both vehicles. Both parties will contact their insurance companies.

Officer spoke to the party about a car that has been parked in the same spot for over two weeks on Franklin Street. Vehicle being placed on 72-hour list.

Caller states ocean side of Otis Street there is a group of kids underage drinking. Police broke off to higher priority call. Units arrived on the scene. May parties on the beach. No parties with underage drinking at this location. Unit found and dispersed of empty container.

Report of a white convertible with two Spanish parties smoking marijuana and playing loud music on Grandview Avenue. Call delayed due to higher priority call. Units arrived on the scene and nothing illegal going on. Large group of people enjoying the weather.

 

Sunday, May 6

Large party in the vicinity of Jefferson Street. 94C activity and loud party. Unit spoke to the participants of the party. They will be quiet for the rest of the night.

Caller stated one car hit a parked car on Revere Street. Caller stated that the party is trying to leave. He is driving a dark sedan with no other information given. G&J has the vehicle. 93 giving courtesy ride to Beachmont train station.

Report of a loud party going on on Atlantic Street. All parties are going in and turning down the music for the night.

Caller at Governors Park states that the upstairs is making loud noises and banging. Unfounded on the noise and this is an ongoing issue.

Abandoned motor vehicle in Delby’s parking lot near the Hi Tide. G&J notified. Owner came out and moved the vehicle to private property. G&J was cancelled.

Caller states that a woman blew through the stop sign and almost hit her. Erratic operator headed toward Pauline Street. Area searched and negative.

A sewer cover is off laying on the corner on Cross Street. DPW contacted to respond. 91 checked the area and no sewer cover even near where it was supposed to be.

General disturbance on Beal Street. As officers were leaving the scene, more parties arrived and a verbal argument  broke out. Peace was restored and all parties were advised of the consequences of another visit of the officers.
