Robert Henry Haselton, Sr.

1922 — 2018

Robert Henry Haselton Sr. of East Boston passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, at Woodlands Assisted Living Facility in Hallowell, Maine. He was 95 years old.

He was a proud Tufts University graduate, football player and supporter who later became a huge Patriots fan. Robert Sr. proudly served as a pilot in the United States Navy. He was a hard working accomplished owner of Haselton Company, servicing customers all over New England. He enjoyed real estate, investing and boating and was never far from the water whether it was Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Maranacook, Cape Cod or Boston Harbor.

His love and pride in his family was immeasurable. He will be missed, but his legacy will live on.

He is survived by his sons, Robert H. Haselton Jr. of Hallowell, Maine, Jon Haselton of Moultonboro, N.H. and Richard and Jennifer Haselton of Winthrop, Maine; his beloved grandchildren, Robby and Victoria; and his devoted care givers Gladys Ovando and Millie Ayala. He was predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen,   his eldest son, Peter, and his three sisters, Dorothea, Irene and Ruth.

Of Winthrop

Robert Francis Pittman of Winthrop passed away on May 28.

He was the beloved husband of Virginia A. (Scarpa) Pittman, devoted father of Michele Skoczylas and her husband, Joseph of Winthrop; beloved brother to Patricia Martini of Stoughton, Rita Pittman of West Roxbury, Josephine Seekins of Winthrop, Dorothy LaFratta of Revere the late James Pittman, Gerard Pittman and Shirley Greene and the cherished grandfather to Joseph Robert, Michael Carmen, and Ryan James.

Family and friends will honor Robert’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., East Boston, today, Thursday, May 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, June 1 at 8:30 a.m. before leaving in procession to St. John the Evangelist Church for a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. For more information, please visit our website:
