Police Blotter 09-27-2018

Monday, Sept. 17

Report of a red truck parked on the corner of Hawthorne in a handicap spot with no plaque. The vehicle moved. The owner had pulled over to make a phone call.

Caller on River Road stated a 30-passenger bus parked on street. No violations observed. No bus in the area. A large RV was parked legally.

Party is a constable and serving an eviction notice along with a locksmith. He would like police assistance for this on Charles Street. House was empty. No service made.

Caller on Highland Avenue states that her husband assisted a male party on Saturday, picking his wife up off the floor. Caller would like a well-being check on her and the husband, who was supposed to bring her to the doctor. She states that the house and the wife were not in good condition. She wants to make sure she was brought to the doctor. Officer spoke to the husband and he is taking her to the hospital today. 92 advised him if he needs help, to call.

Off with a parked motor vehicle on Grovers Avenue. No occupant. Owner of the vehicle has no status on his license. 93 requested to cancel G&J but the plates will be seized until it is renewed. Vehicle will be put on private property.

Report of vandalism to windows on Sewall Avenue with possible pellet gun.

Caller reports on Main Street in the vicinity of the high school walking towards Magee’s Corner, a male, tall, wearing all black. Male is walking around yelling at himself and appears a little agitated. Caller is concerned for the safety of the kids getting out of the high school. Units found the party in the vicinity of Cross and Franklin Street. Units spoke to the party and everything checks out.

Male party at Governors Park reports ordering a go-pro camera from eBay. He reports that according to the tracking number that the item was delivered to the building on Aug. 29.

Report that in the rear of Governors Park, caller states multiple parties being loud with one motorcycle making a lot of noise. They were not being too loud when the unit arrived. Advised party to disperse. Two of the parties lived in the area of Governors Park. Units advised them to go in for the night and units cleared.

Caller on Morton Street reports he has an Air B&B guest that is being unruly. Caller reports he was physically assaulted. Spoke to parties involved. It was a landlord tenant issue and the other party left on foot to cool down.

 

Tuesday, Sept. 18

Caller on Lewis Avenue reports multiple vehicles broken into. W95 off with two parties on the corner of Thornton and Bowdoin streets. Units clear, both attached male parties were sent on their way.

Todisco Towing towed a vehicle from Governors Park.

Report of a branch that fell onto two cars on Ocean Avenue.

Caller on Franklin Street reports heavy flood conditions and would like her street to be shut down because vehicles going by are creating waves and causing flooding in the homes.

Party states that a female on Golden Drive did not show up for work. Needs a well being check. The female works for DOR and it is not like her to not show up for work. Female party came to the door and is alright. She will be calling her employer.

Officers are heading back to female party’s home on Golden Drive to access the female party’s living conditions. Female party has been transported by Action to the hospital.

General parking complaint on Floyd Street. Vehicle placed on 72-hour list.

Caller on Willow Avenue reports a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle which happened last night. Officer states entry was made to vehicle, but nothing was taken.

Party on Read Street states there is a vehicle driving fast up and down the street. Unit checked the area with nothing showing.

 

Wednesday, Sept. 19

Report of a broken water main on Sturgis Street. DPW notified.

Caller on Shore Drive states that she has not heard from her baby’s father since Saturday. He also has not been to work and when she calls his phone, someone else answer. She is worried about his well-being. Units report the attached male party has not returned to the establishment since Saturday.

Assisted a citizen on Palmyra Street with an alcohol-related issue. Items recovered and party checks out and is okay for the night.

Report of a stolen Mercedes from Hermon Street. Caller is now stating his car was towed. Strong language barrier. Officers state that the vehicle in question is not in fact stolen. Apparently, there is a miscommunication between the tow truck driver and the owner of the vehicle. Last Thursday, one of the calling party’s vehicle was towed out of his backyard by a tow company for sale to the company for $150. Company did not leave him the money for first car. Second car was towed today and company did give the party $150, but party wanted money for the first vehicle. This is a civil issue and the party was advised of his rights and referred to civil court.

Party on Winthrop street would like to speak with an officer about an ongoing issue with her neighbor. Female in one apartment was harassing female in another apartment about the mail. Caller wanted it on record if needed for future harassment order.

Caller on Dolphin Avenue would like to speak to ACO on how to deal with her neighbor that always leaves the dogs out barking for extended periods of time. Neighbors in neighborhood are going to get a petition regarding the barking dogs.

Off with two male subjects on Beacon Circle.

Party came in to report that her 85-year-old father with memory issues is missing for about an hour and a half after being dropped off for a haircut next door on Winthrop Street. Units notified to search the area. Calling party is searching the area as well. Last seen wearing a burgundy cot and gray pants. She will return to file a missing person report if unable to locate him. The father was located in Revere and was being transported back to headquarters. The family was notified and father was turned over to his son.

Two car motor vehicle accident on Shirley Street. No personal injury reported. Called in by taxi stand dispatcher stating no injury. 92 enroute as well as fire and EMS. 93 requesting flatbed. G&J notified and requesting another unit for traffic.

Calling party on Pearl Avenue wishes to remain anonymous. She states that her neighbor’s two children and two dogs are playing in the front yard. The yard has a fence around it but the gate to the yard is missing and replaced with a piece of plastic. She is concerned that the dogs will get out. 92 reports no one is in the yard. No children, no dogs.

 

Thursday, Sept. 20

Caller on Cliff Avenue states a man is doing work on the wires. Details going on in the area and the detail officer confirmed this.

Report of a break-in on Bowdoin Street. It was an overnight break and only money was stolen.

Off at Coughlin Park with a dog that does not have an owner. The dog ran back to his house on Bayview Avenue.

Party came to the station to report that the passports she had ordered for her minor son and daughter never arrived and she was advised by her consulate to report them missing.

Report of a navy blue Jeep Cherokee on the footpath at Kilmartin Park driving erratically. BOLO put out.

Well-being check for 22-year-old female for a psych evaluation on Shore Drive. Unit spoke to the female party. She has checked out. Party is with friends and family and is well. Ambulance cancelled.

 

Friday, September 21

Motor vehicle accident on Revere Street. The car went into a pole. Vehicle towed by G&J. Female party being transported to the MGH. Male party and two children also being transported to MGH as well.

Caller states he is blind and believes the new crosswalk lines on Revere Street has not been painted between the 7-Eleven and Winthrop Marketplace since the new construction has been done. Stated that approximately 12 cars would not let him cross. Per Sierra 4, would like a unit to check. Unit checked the area. There are currently no crosswalk lines painted onto the road.

Party came to the station to report he witnessed an interaction between a male driver and a female party who was walking on the sidewalk on River Road. He videoed the interaction because he got a “gut” feeling that something was not right. After the video was viewed, it appeared that the two parties had a comfortable conversation where the female can be seen leaning on the passenger door and reaching into the vehicle. She never attempted to leave and after a minute or two, she enters the vehicle on her own accord before the male drove away.

Caller state there is a customer in the bank on Putnam Street acting very irate and threatening other customers. Caller stated that the party told other customers he had a firearm. Units request medical, WFD and EMS also responded. Male declined medical transport. Officer repots this was a heated disagreement between the male party and the bank teller. The male left the area.

Calling party states there are dogs with their owners running around Coughlin Park unleashed.

Party on Court Road reported that a female party was running around in her night gown, wearing no shoes. Nothing showing in the area when unit arrived.

A male, 30s, appears agitated and is asking for rides. Last seen walking toward Shore Beach. Units off speaking with the party. A taxi was requested. Officer will follow the taxi to the area of Upland Road where the party’s vehicle is parked. The vehicle is disabled but he needs to retrieve some items. Male located his vehicle and the vehicle was started and male left the area.

Caller on Myrtle Avenue states that her neighbor is being loud with his motorcycle and is playing music too loud. Motorcycle was shut off and pulled into the garage. Party was advised to keep it down.

Party on Winthrop Street states that his neighbor behind him is using power tools. Officer spoke with involved party. He will close both garage doors and turn the music off.

Male subject walked in to the station to report that his vehicle was stolen from Harbor View and Prospect Avenue. Vehicle entered into NCIC.

Caller on Winthrop Street stated that he cannot sleep due to the noise coming from his neighbor’s house. States he is cleaning his car and it is too loud. Units spoke with involved party and he will stop for the night.

 

Saturday, Sept. 22

Report of a loud party at Payson and Shirley Street. Units spoke to the residents and the party has been shut down.

Caller on Read Street heard a big bang outside of her house. Possibly a gun shot. Unit stated the area is quiet. Nothing showing.

911 call and party stated that two males were playing golf in the street. Caller was very uncooperative and could not give number of the street. Also stated that trucks are blocking sidewalk making it difficult for people to walk on the sidewalk. Nothing showing at this time.

Report of a silver Volvo and black Honda CRV parked on the wrong side of the street causing traffic. Vehicles were moved.

Motor vehicle accident at Buchanan and Pleasant Street with possible injuries.  Airbag deployment also. Tow requested. G&J will take the BMW. G&J deemed the vehicle drivable. No tows at this time.

Caller at Seal Harbor reports there is a black BMW running in the parking lot with no license plate attached. Unit spoke to the owner of the vehicle. He was charging his battery.

Caller on Almont Street reports that when coming back from vacation she noticed that her neighbor took down her fence. Needs to speak to an officer in regards to what her rights are.

Report of a drunk female in an Uber. Driver needs assistance. Medical requested and is enroute. 46 year old female to the Whidden. A friend will be going also.

Caller reports they are a taxi driver and he has a fare that is not paying them. It is a Boston cab. Units spoke to the car driver and also will be speaking to the female party to receive the money. Female party was upstairs cleaning herself off. The taxi driver has been paid and everything squared off.

 

Sunday, Sept. 23

Another incident of not paying for a taxi ride on Shirley Street. Female party left the cab and went into her home without paying. 92 giving the female a courtesy ride to the ATM at the center. Involved party has paid the taxi driver. Unit giving the party a ride back to her home.

Party on Nevada Street stated that her neighbor is threatening to stab her because she told her to shut off the music off. She is now at her door yelling at the husband. Two males and female verbally arguing with calling party’s husband in the hallway. All units spoken to. All parties are going back into their residents for the night. The parties on the third floor will reach out to the landlord as the music situation appears to be an ongoing issue.

Report of a hypodermic needle in the area of Locust Street and Beach Road. Item was secured.

Report of a missing 16-year-old. Female party located in Malden and brought back to the station.

Party on Winthrop Street reports a deceased cat in thimble of the street between James and Chester Avenue. ACO was notified. and will respond to address when he gets back into town. ACO reports checking the area and was unable to locate the animal. Also spoke to three neighbors who stated they did not see/hear anything.
